Founder Jess Shanahan started her career as a motorsport journalist but her background in marketing and sales drew her to sponsorship. She began to work closely with drivers and teams from karting and grassroots racing up to British GT and BTCC. It was from here she started the Porsche race team Turn Eight Racing.
For the team, sponsorship flowed in allowing them to win almost everything they took part in. During that time, drivers began to ask how the Porsche was so heavily sponsored. It was then that Jess realised that many drivers were still looking to the old ways of securing sponsorship - ways that no longer work in this digital age.

NY500 is a family run all wheels welcome Cafe & Museum situated on the edge of
the beautiful backdrop North Yorkshire Moors. Everyone is welcome to visit,
even if it's a stop off on route to the coast or on route to nearby Whitby, it's
always great to see new and familiar faces. There's a great selection of hot and
cold food and drinks on offer from local producers, whilst perusing the range of
merchandise to buy, getting up close and personal with the array of unique beautiful
cars and bikes, for the ultimate indulgence in motorsport history and having a time
of chilling out with friends.
NY500 has a huge variety of regular meets and events throughout the year. It is the
place to be and with some 20 acres of available space on site to host events, has
meant people have selected NY500 as their venue of choice, like the recent start
of the Track Rod Rally and a number of Supercar owners clubs making good use of our
